1.7. Maintenance Policy

Property owned by Springs, Inc.

On an as needed basis, Staff will submit to the House Supervisor the Maintenance Request Form, which will then be turned in to the Director. The Director will then assign the repairs, est., to the appropriate professionals or service people. Maintenance items that involve safety items will be given to the chairman of the Safety Committee for immediate evaluation. Repairs that are emergency situations will be directed to the appropriate service people or professional as soon as detected. The House Supervisor has the authority to call repairman in an emergency situation or at the direction of the Executive Director. The Director will then be notified. Annual inspections of the electrical and plumbing systems of each group home will be done in accordance with the Department of Human Services/DDSD guidelines.

Vehicles owned by Springs, Inc.

Staff will be responsible for making sure that vehicles are checked weekly for fluid levels, tire pressure and as needed for gas. Vehicles will be washed weekly. Oil and other fluids will be changed on a scheduled basis. Any vehicle problems should be brought ton the attention of the Director/House Supervisor immediately. Safety inspection stickers and license tags will be monitored closely for expiration date.
