Job Title:  Program Coordinator

Summary:  Plans, organizes, and coordinated programs with agencies and groups for individuals with developmental disabilities receiving services through Springs Incorporated by performing the following duties. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Promotes and coordinates activities of agencies, groups, and individuals to meet identified needs.

Studies and assesses strength and weakness of existing resources.

Interprets needs, programs, and services to agencies, groups, and individuals involves and provides leadership and assistance. 

Prepares reports and disseminate information.

Maintains contact with representatives of other organization to exchange and update information on resources and services available.

Writes goals and objectives to meet needs of individuals receiving services;

Assists in budgets preparation and presentation;

Assists in raising funds;

Must be able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities of a Habilitation Training Specialist as well and the House Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 13 to 30 employees in the Springs Incorporated Programs.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university or full-time equivalent experience in a supervisory position;

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.  Have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, individuals Springs serve, family members and the general public.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Current Oklahoma driver’s license with a good driving record; all required DDSD training.

Other Requirements

Must be 21 years of age.  Must not have been convicted, or pled guilty or nolo contendere to any felony or misdemeanor assault and battery.  Name cannot appear on the Community Services Registry involving persons with developmental disabilities.
