Summary – Directs major function of Springs Incorporated providing services for people with developmental disabilities in the community by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Works with Board of Directors and committees to establish policies and programs and administers such programs.
Determines policies and defines scope of services to be rendered within legislative reulations for Springs Incorporated functioning without board of directors.
Assumes responsibility for development and administration of standards and procedures related to personnel, including staff development, budget, and physical facilities.
Interprets agency purpose and program to community.
Establishes and maintains relationships with other agencies and organizations in community toward meeting community needs and services.
Prepares, distributes and maintains variety of reports.
Inspects agency operations and facilities to ensure agency meets standards and procedures criteria.
Directs or coordinates fund raising, public relations, and fact finding or research activities.
Supervisory Responsibilities – Manages Four to Seven subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 80 to 90 employees in the Group Home Program, Community Program, Supported Living Program and In Home Program. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises two to four non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilites in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Reponsibilites include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or full-time equivelent experience in a supervisory position. And two years related experience and/or training.
Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public.
Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability – Ability to solvepractical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only linited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, and individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Current Oklahoma Drivers’ License with a good driving record; all required DDSD training.
Other Qualifications – Must be 21 years of age. Must not have been convicted, or plea quilty or nolo contedere to any felony or misdemeanor assault and battery. Name cannot be listed on the community Services Registry involving persons with developmental disabilities.
